New School Year....

So another school year has begun....


Taylor is in the 1st grade and honestly there isn't anything she doesn't like about school. Ms. Delano is her teacher, but even if she had no teacher she would still want to go. She practically came home with a new BFF the first day. Oh to be 6 years old again!

This new school bag has to be mentioned as well. We ordered this thing after much deliberation in at least 2 different magazines. I am usually not one to go crazy on things like this. I would prefer they reuse what the have until is falling apart...but she gave her daddy the sad, pouty face and $50.00 later she had this bag and a matching lunchbox both with her name embroidered on. Go ahead, you can say it. Trav is a sucker when it comes to his daughter.



Travis is the the 4th grade and loves that he has Ms. Hill, but let's face it...he would much rather still be on summer vacation using his BB gun or sling shot to try and kill squirrels out in the trees of the yard.

Now seriously, I have said this before, usually Travi is not my photogenic kid. He prefers the silly face or obnoxious grin. For some reason after much lecturing about photo etiquette I got this picture. The kid is straight up, no doubt about it handsome. I miss him being my little baby toddler but he's growing up fast and while I love this picture of him, it makes my mommy heart a little sad.


I have rather enjoyed the quite days while they are at school. I am able to get tons of homework and essays written with the house quiet, not to mention the house actually stays clean for a good part of the day too. I still miss them very much. They are 2 of my 3 favorite people on this earth. I just still can't believe I'm old enough to have kids this big....
