About Us

Let's see...My Trav and I are from the same small town in Southern Californai.  We went to the same high school together.  I have known him since I was 14 years old.  After we both graduated high school, we moved on from our little town and went to college in different places.  Its during those college years, on a beach in San Diego-1998 that we reunited as friends and somehow figured out we still sort of liked one another.  We were married in 2000.

That same year, my Trav joined the U. S. Coast Guard. I have and will always follow him anywhere this nomadic life takes us.   He is an Aviation Electrical Technician or AET.  In a nutshell, his works on helicopters and then flies in those same helicopters to perform Search and Rescue Missions.  With the Coast Guard we have lived in Port Angeles, WA...Astoria, OR...Kodiak, AK...Cape Cod, MA...and now Sitka, AK.  This life is not always comfortable or easy but its a great adventure.



Together we created to really amazing babies who are no longer babies.   Travis Jr. and Taylor....

Travis Jr.  aka-Duder, Brother or Travi... He is smart, funny and unique to say the least.  He has a loud voice and a funny sense of humor that doesn't always make sense.  He is in no way typical and reminds us constantly that being your own self is so much better then being just like everyone else.  He is a swimmer, a nerd, an outdoorsman, a reader and just an all around cool kid.  We are convinced he is going to do something really great and amazing one day.  We are really anxious to see where his journey takes him.

Taylor aka-Sissy, Tootsie and Scootchy...She is the light of our lives.  A sweet girl who is much more subdued and soft spoken.  She is witty yet quiet and loves her own space and down time.  Taylor loves all things beautiful, soft, and fun.  She is perfect, with a kind heart and a keen sense for when compassion is necessary.  She is her daddys one true weakness, he doesn't stand a chance against her.  She is my baby girl and I adore her sweetness.

As a family we love being together.  Generally, its just the four of us in a new, temporary place so we pride ourselves on loving, respecting and enjoying one another.  We LOVE to camp, run, bike, hike, boat and be outside together.  We love to be active and explore.  The diversity and challenges of our lives have made us stronger, happier and all the wiser.  We have grown and changed alot over the years.  Trav and I are definitely not anything like those two kids years ago from the same small town.
