The past couple of days have been bitterly cold. A Canadian Arctic blast has had its grips on the Northeast, leaving sub-zero temps in its wake. They say these temps are the coldest this area has had in six years. The lakes have been frozen for a while now but the colder then normal air inspired me to take some quick photos to share. This is a lake down the road from our house. Some of you that have visited us might recognize it. As weird as it sounds and as cold as it has been I love it. This born and bred desert rat loves the colder air. It wakes me up when I breath it in and just makes me happy.

Even in a deep freeze when the sun hits something right it can briefly thaw. How beautiful is this!?!
