Weekend Fun

09 March 2010

This past weekend was an absolutely beautiful weekend on the Cape. Temps. were in the mid 50's and the sun was shining with not a cloud in the sky. Travis had duty on Saturday so we saved our fun for Sunday and Monday.

On Sunday we headed out to do a bit of Geocaching. We found our first treasure at the Sandwich Fish Hatchery. The fish hatchery is in charge of stocking trout in certain lakes/ponds on the Cape. The kids love to go there and feed the fish and run around. We found our cache and then proceeded to spend every quarter we had in the fish food dispenser.

After the fish hatchery we stopped to enjoy some ice cream and coffee at one of our favorite little cafes in Old Sandwich. The ice cream is egg free and they serve our absolute favorite coffee (Beanstalk) out here in New England. We sat outside enjoying the sunshine before we began the hunt again.

We proceeded on to a Cache called "Sandwich Glass #1" which is of significant importance because this was the first cache that Taylor found BEFORE Travi. She was giddy and beaming with pride. What a great day!
