Polar Plunge....

December 28th was Sitka's annual Polar Plunge.  I personally don't find satisfaction in wearing next to nothing on a freezing cold, very windy day and then dipping my body into freezing cold ocean water.  There were however a few hundred people who decided to take the plunge.  One of those crazies was of course our son.  

 He wore his GoPro into the water to document his plunge.  Its an interesting perspective and documents what the human body sounds like when it is unable to take a breath due to shock.  

Notice my kid is charging ahead of a superhero to get into the icy water!!

Some have said that extremely intelligent people lack basic common sense.  I'm not going to quote that though just yet because my Trav says that he and I are participating next year.
