Alpine Adventure Run 2013

The 20th running of the Alpine Adventure run was this past weekend.  My Trav ran this race last year and really enjoyed it so he once again participated this year.  

It is a 7 mile alpine run that starts down in town, acends the face of Gavan Hill (elevation 2300 feet) and then continues for another 5 miles across Gavan ridge to Harbor Mtn and down the other side.  Its a gruling run that is limited to 75 particpates.  My Trav bettered his time by roughly 5 minutes this year.

This year is was very cold and foggy.  We waited at the finish line for Trav to cross.  He had a great run!  He will likely compete again next year, that being his last opportunity to run since we will be leaving the following summer.
